Surgical C-Arm
A Surgical C-Arm is an advanced medical imaging device mainly used in theatres. The C-Arm gets its name from the C-shaped arm that connects the x-ray source to the x-ray detector. It is primarily used for fluoroscopic intraoperative imaging during an emergency and surgical procedures. The Surgical C-Arm provides high-resolution X-ray images in real-time.
The special semi-circular design of the Surgical C-Arm allows the physician to move it more freely, covering the patient’s whole body. X-ray images of the patient can be produced from almost any angle. With the new flat panel technology available on Surgical C-Arms, dose to the patient and healthcare staff is lower and image quality and resolution is higher.
