Fluoroscopy
Fluoroscopy is an imaging technique that uses X-rays to obtain real-time moving images. During a fluoroscopy exam, a continuous X-ray beam is passed through the body part that needs to be examined and allows for the body part to be seen in real-time.
Fluoroscopy is used for a wide variety of examinations and procedures to diagnose or treat patients, such as Barium studies of the gastrointestinal tract, vascular examinations etc.
Fluoroscopy enables physicians to perform minimally invasive procedures like biopsies and spinal injections.
With the use of dynamic flat panel detectors in fluoroscopy systems, we are able to reduce the dose to the patient, improve image quality and increase the magnification.
